Delete account

Deleting an account should be clear, deliberate, and documented.

Dito supports in-app account deletion. This page explains the expected path, the grace period, and the limited situations where some records may still need to be retained.

This page is written as a launch-ready working draft for Dito and should receive final founder and legal review before public sign-off.

In-app path

  1. 1Open the Dito app and go to Profile.
  2. 2Open Privacy, then choose Delete my account.
  3. 3Re-enter the account password to confirm the request.
  4. 4Dito schedules deletion with a 14-day grace period.

Email fallback

If you cannot access the app, contact support@ditoislanddelivery.com from the email associated with the account. Include your name, the account email, and that you are requesting account deletion.

Dito may ask for reasonable verification before acting on a manual email request so that accounts are not deleted by an unauthorized third party.

Grace period

Dito’s current mobile flow uses a 14-day grace period after the deletion request is confirmed. Logging back in during that window is intended to cancel the deletion request.

Records Dito may retain

Dito may retain the minimum records reasonably required for tax, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, dispute handling, or historical transaction evidence. This retention language should be reviewed against the final launch stack and local legal advice.
